I’m Back: A New Chapter as a Lunch Lady

I’m Back: A New Chapter as a Lunch Lady

Hey there, friends!

After a little time away to refocus and reset, I’m thrilled to say, I’m back! Life has been a whirlwind lately, and sometimes you just need to hit the pause button, take a step back, and reevaluate where your energy is going. For me, that meant finding a way to balance my personal goals with something that truly lights me up.

Now, I’m diving headfirst into a new role I’m incredibly proud of—working in the food service department at my kids’ school. Yep, I’m officially a lunch lady now, and I couldn’t be happier about it!

Why This Feels Right

Being part of the school community in such a hands-on way is so rewarding. I get to see my kids during their day and connect with so many students, teachers, and staff. There’s something special about being part of the daily rhythm of the school, knowing you’re helping fuel little minds and bodies for all the learning and playing ahead.

Plus, working in food service is no joke! It’s busy, fast-paced, and keeps me on my toes—exactly what I needed to shake things up and get back to a sense of purpose and routine.

The Joy of Serving Others

What surprised me most is how fulfilling this work is. It’s not just about slapping food on trays (though, yes, I’m perfecting my scoop-and-serve technique!). It’s about creating moments of connection. A smile, a kind word, or even just remembering a student’s favorite snack makes a bigger impact than I ever imagined.

I’m also learning so much—from behind-the-scenes kitchen logistics to the sheer amount of coordination it takes to serve hundreds of meals a day. It’s a team effort, and I’m so proud to be part of it.

What’s Next

As I settle into this new role, I’m also getting back to sharing more here—stories, reflections, and updates about my journey. Life’s too short to keep quiet about the things that matter, and I’m excited to reconnect with all of you.

So here’s to new beginnings, fresh starts, and finding joy in the unexpected. To anyone who’s in a season of change, remember: it’s never too late to refocus, realign, and rediscover what makes you happy.

Thanks for being here with me. I can’t wait to see where this new chapter leads.
